Musculoskeletal management programs provide support for long term therapeutic results.

A Myotherapist is expected to utilise a wide range of knowledge, assessment and treatment skills in the preventative, corrective and rehabilitative phases of musculoskeletal care, providing complex consultation.

Myotherapy is a branch of manual medicine founded on the western medical principles of anatomy, biomechanics, physiology, biophysics, motor control and pathology.  It is a distinct, soft tissue discipline that is focused to identify and diagnose musculoskeletal dysfunction and pain caused by improper biomechanical functioning.

Myotherapy aims to restore and maintain integrity of the musculoskeletal and soft tissue structures including muscles, tendons, ligaments, joint capsule, fascial covering, joints, nerves and associated viscera.

Myotherapy treatment involves the care of the whole person and evaluation is consulted from a wholistic viewpoint incorporating the medical professional perspective and including your viewpoint.  Awareness of and commitment to corrective functional exercise promotes optimal recovery and contributes to well-being.
