The upcoming local government elections are due on 16th March 2024.
My name is GISELLE O’KEEFE and I’d like to be your new face and representative for our division 2 on the Fraser Coast Regional Council.
I bring a wealth of knowledge, experience and expertise in the ‘matters of community’ and would like to champion our community voice at the heart of public policy.
I am motivated, focused and dedicated, capable of complex multitask performance with the vision, drive and endurance to accomplish objectives.
I have experienced much diversity in social and career settings that have included clinical practice, education management and teaching, operations of small business and administration for larger corporations and of course living on the land.
I have supplied legal advocacy; provided drug and alcohol interventions and support for victims of crime, trauma and mental health; treated people and animals with natural medicine interventions; formulated and manufactured my own apothecary products; provided training and supervision delivery and management of education programs; developed, designed and implemented all small business and professional practice systems that included product marketing, and participated in A grade and state level sporting activities and coached youth sport.
At the heart of public policy my efforts will be to:
- support progress and growth of small business enterprise
- foster agricultural sustainability
- support our community education endeavours
- campaign for community support during economical downturn
- promote responsible planning, development and regional preservation
- advocate for our community health and wellbeing
I am confident I can build forging relationships and make connections across our divisions diverse range of people and advocate and empower our community voice.
